ADJECTIVE DEFTINITION : Adjective (abbreviated adj) is a describing word, the main syntactic role of which is to qualify a noun or noun phrase, giving more information about the object signified. Adjectives are one of the English parts of speech, although historically they were classed together with the nouns. Certain words that were traditionally considered to be adjectives, including the, this, my, etc., are today usually classed separately, as determiners. FUNCTION ADJECTIVES : 1. Adjective modifying a noun , (kata sifat yang menjelaskan kata benda). Baik itu attributive adjective ataupun predicative adjective, wajar saja jika kata-kata yang mensifati kata benda itu ya adjectives. 2. Adjective modifying a pronoun , (kata sifat yang menjelaskan kata ganti). Sama seperti diatas, dalam attributive adjective dan predicative adjective semua adjective jelas bisa menerangkan pronoun (kata ganti) karena pronoun notabene adalah pengganti noun.
